I was doing my usual daily walk yesterday and passed a young woman in her thirties masked up to the hilt on a rainy day in Scotland. The mask looked revolting it was a soggy mess so heaven only knows what she was re-breathing into her lungs. It reminded me that we still have some stupid, fearful and compliant individuals surrounding us that the corrupt system will use to its advantage.

Always remember a fellow cyclist shooting a red light diagonally across a junction with no helmet, but at least he had his mask on!

I think he was offended when I burst out laughing at his assessment of risk.

My favourite was seeing someone cycling on the pavement whilst not wearing a helmet, with a shopping bag looped over one handlebar, but wearing a mask to 'stay safe'.

Brilliant! I remember a woman cycling uphill, barely able to make it, with her mask on! I could not look away as I thought she was going to collapse!

People who do one thing for their own good are expected to do everything else you can think of that they should also do? Filter their water, exercise x number of minutes per day, meditate, do yoga, eat probiotics, have a security system on their home, run a fan if the oven runs on gas, don't smoke, wear a seat belt, ...Laugh at them if they don't do the same as you. See comment above please that understanding and helping are more productive than criticizing and judging oneself wiser than others.

Why call people stupid amd compliant because they haven't read and concluded what you have? There are better ways than criticizing and accusing to break through the well-funded lies and deceipt that divide us in order to conquer. Please consider, instead, understanding and helping. Since you have given the information much independent thought, you could be a good person to steer others in a healthy direction.

I am neither pro- nor anti-mask. This article was unconvincing either way in terms of virus transmission. It cites studies for and against, conducted soundly and not. It addresses influenza sometimes instead of covid. Somehow, after all these years, there seems to be nothing solid either way about covid.
