How do we reverse this decision? No-one voted for it. If I want unadulterated flour where do I go?

Small mills producing less than 500 tonnes a year are exempt from any of the additives now, including those that were mandated until now. 2 of our local bakeries are producing one loaf option that will be folic acid free, so it's worth checking with local bakeries

I too am trying to find out - this is the best I’ve found so far for information and “ways around it”.

Thank you for sharing. I'm against forced mass medication, as it's frequently counterproductive.

Too much synthetic B9 is harmful if administered without B12, and those with a range of genetic mutations are unable to handle the excess too.

Another example of the 'consultation' process where the results are ignored as the decision has already been taken. I wonder what other effects it will have on the population in general. A form of mass poisoning and legitimate and not widely known.

This is staggering frightening, Clare. The first I'd heard about this was in the video you and your colleague did with John Campell. (Great vid, btw)

Are you the first researchers to look into this?

What is even more frightening is: What else is there foisted on us as a Universal Good that is causing terrible harm?

Baldmichael's avatar

To paraphrase Elizabeth Barrett Browning "How do they harm us, let me count the ways."

A.k.a. How long have you got?

I hope you have sent this article to ALL MPs and DEFRA.

These people have NO RIGHT to add chemicals or toxins to our foods.

More evidence of the health authorities lying to us. You have to ask: for what purpose? Financial benefit (ie corruption) seems to be the most obvious explanation. But my view is this supports a much more sinister pattern of misinformation and lying about health in general: the most rational explanation I have is that there really is a depopulation agenda by the powers that be. The implications of this conclusion are horrific and it is doing my head in.

Kagsy's avatar

I believe it’s more sinister.

Making people ill benefits big pharma and an earlier death benefits the WEF agenda of depopulation.

Baldmichael's avatar

Certainly depopulation via reducing desire and fertility.

I placed this page link in chatGPT...it was hilarious watching it have a meltdown. At one stage it argued that a "bad" result didnt count because the authors had not predetermined that this result was being looked for

I use flour from Wessex Mill and just checked a new batch to find they’re now adding folic acid whereas previously they didn’t. Over the last few years, particularly around discussions about flour/bread, has the rather disconcerting but most likely prophetic lyrics from a Larry Norman song from my youth come to mind. They’re now making much more sense:

“Life was filled with guns and wars and everyone got trampled on the floor, I wish we’d all been ready. Children died and the days grew cold, a piece of bread could buy a bag of gold……” 😢

Indeed. As well as crushed-up insects which are apparently good for us.

Those who want to give us such things are a load of silly bug-gers. :<)

I'm late to the party. What has occured in this instance has condensed into another case of "lying by omission" on the part of at least one actor. Judith Hall, a person of distinction, prominence and influence exibited a measure of this in her commentary. She warned the paper’s implications “could interfere with a very important public-health opportunity." While acknowledging the desirability of increased study she was cognizant of the 9:1 ratio and yet she implicitely indicated a reluctance to interupt the insistance of authorities to include folic acid in recommended dietary supplementation. Hall maintains that it would be "unethical to repeat the trials". (So, according to her N = millions in an uncontrolled mass INVOLUNTARY experiment that is somehow preferable to an appropriately scaled controlled and monitored VOLUNTARY study.) While discussing ehtics Hall might have mentioned the cautionary implications of the 9:1 ratio but instead she decided to lapse into unethical behavior herself by intentionally omitting the fetal death rate component while supporting the industrial scale use of folic acid. This kind of dishonesty and deceit has prevailed in our societies since at least the 18thc. when women ingested arsenic to change their skin tone to mimic the fashionable porcelain. Everyone does it AND no one is counting the deceased very white princess populations. So, just keep it up.

And what a surprise, Folic Acid is made by Pharmaceutical companies

Folic acid is converted to folate in the body. As the body cannot make folate, it has to be obtained from food, for example brassicas and legumes.
